This week, to coincide with the 5th Annual MHM in WASH in Schools Virtual Conference hosted by Columbia University and UNICEF, UNGEI is featuring leading blogs, documentaries and written pieces on menstrual hygiene management from around the world.

Keeping the focus on MHM and its impact on girls’ access to education, UNGEI will be promoting the latest news and commentary on MHM via our blog and on twitter under the hashtag #MenstruationMatters.

Keep an eye out later today for our special feature article from MHM advocate and Columbia Professor Dr Marni Sommer, on the importance of addressing MHM as a symptom of gender discrimination in schools.

Don’t forget - It is not too late to register for the conference. Launching tomorrow 8am EDT, the event will feature a range of leading field experts and academics including UNGEI head of Secretariat, Nora Fyles.

Be part of the conversation -  If you are following along with the conference online or in person, be sure to tweet @UNGEI with the hashtag #MensturationMatters to share your comments and keep the conversation going!
