This podcast interview with  Sandra Cauffman – Deputy Director of Earth Sciences at NASA,  is part of the UN Girls’ Education Initiative’s #STEMtheGap series, promoting and profiling women and girls in STEM globally.
 

Sandra Cauffman holds a 29 year career with NASA – formerly Deputy Director for MAVEN and also the former Deputy Systems Director for GOES-R., Sandra is now the current Deputy Director at the Earth Science Division at NASA.

In this podcast, Sandra shares with UNGEI her experience being a minority woman in STEM and why she returns to latin America and her native home of Costa Rica, to promote STEM education.
